If you're using TRIPP on a Meta Quest headset and find that buttons like “Continue TRIPP” or “Yes, I’m Done” aren't responding, even though your controllers work fine in other apps, you might be dealing with a subtle issue called stick drift.
🎮 What is Stick Drift?
Stick drift happens when a joystick (usually on the left controller) becomes slightly misaligned. This can interfere with selections in TRIPP, even if the controller seems to work normally in other games or apps.
🛠 Try This Quick Test:
Follow these steps to see if the issue is related to your left Meta Quest controller:
Turn off the left controller completely.
Remove the battery and place the controller in a drawer so it’s fully inactive.
Restart your headset with only the right controller turned on.
Open TRIPP and complete a short experience.
When you reach the final screen, try selecting “Continue TRIPP” or “Yes, I’m Done” using the right controller only.
Optional: If your headset supports it, you can also try using hand tracking instead of the controllers.
✅ What This Test Can Tell Us:
If the buttons respond correctly when using just the right controller or hand tracking, your left controller may be interfering, even if it functions normally in other apps.
