⚠️ This is a Known Issue We're Actively Working On
Our engineering team has identified a bug on Android where Kōkua's throw gesture does not register correctly, causing the bubble to appear stuck or unresponsive after you attempt to flick or throw it.
We know this is frustrating and we're sorry for the disruption. A fix is in progress and we will notify you as soon as it's resolved.
What's Happening
On Android, the Kōkua bubble may:
Freeze in place after a throw gesture
Not respond to the flick/throw interaction
Require multiple attempts before it moves
Snap back to its original position instead of dismissing
Workaround
While we work on the fix, here are a few things that may help temporarily:
Tap to dismiss — Try tapping directly on the Kōkua bubble instead of using the throw gesture to close or move it.
Restart the session — Close and reopen the TRIPP app. This may temporarily restore the gesture.
Use Kōkua in a different mode — If you're using voice, try switching to text input (or vice versa) to reduce the need for gesture interaction.
Will Standard Troubleshooting Help?
Because this is a confirmed engineering-level bug, steps like clearing cache, reinstalling the app, or restarting your device are unlikely to resolve this issue. You're welcome to try them, but please don't be discouraged if the problem persists.
