Health, Safety, and Comfort Using TRIPP
Staying Comfortable While Using TRIPP
Follow these guidelines to ensure a safe and comfortable experience with TRIPP in VR:
1. Vision Considerations
Binocular Vision: Good binocular vision is required for comfortable viewing in VR. If you have a binocular vision disorder (e.g., strabismus, crossed or wandering eye), you may experience difficulty. If you struggle to view VR content clearly, consider consulting an eye doctor.
Wearing Glasses: If you normally wear glasses, keep them on during your TRIPP session. Most VR headsets accommodate glasses, but the fit may vary based on headset type and glasses size.
2. Get Comfortable
Safe Environment: Use TRIPP in a safe and comfortable space. Ensure you have a seat where you can relax your body while remaining upright.
Awareness: VR headsets will fully obstruct your view, making it difficult to see your surroundings. For safety, avoid using TRIPP when you need to stay aware of your physical environment.
3. If You Experience Discomfort
Take a Break: Stop your TRIPP session and rest until you feel better. Sitting in a well-lit area can help alleviate disorientation.
Avoid Activities: If you feel disoriented, avoid activities requiring balance or coordination until you recover.
Adjust for Next Time: Pay attention to the content and the environment in which discomfort occurred. Ease into VR experiences gradually to help your body adapt.
4. Recommended Session Duration
TRIPP sessions are designed to provide a beneficial break of 8-10 minutes. With practice, this short session can help you recharge during a challenging day.
