How Do I Talk to Kōkua in VR?
Kōkua in TRIPP VR allows you to share what’s on your mind and receive personalized reflections, meditations, and mindfulness practices.

Getting Started

  1. Launch Kōkua:

    • From the TRIPP VR Home menu, select “Ask Kōkua for a personalized reflection” or tap the Kōkua button on the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen.

  2. Microphone Permissions:

    • The first time you launch Kōkua, the TRIPP VR app will request microphone permissions (required for Kōkua to function).

    • Note: Your voice is never stored.

Talking to Kōkua

  1. Start a Conversation:

    • Kōkua will greet you and ask how you’re feeling. On Meta Quest devices, use the grip or trigger button on the controller, or hand tracking (pinch to grab), to hold the mic orb while you speak.

    • When finished, release the mic orb to send your message to Kōkua.

  2. Receive Personalized Guidance:

    • Kōkua will respond with reflections, tailored meditations, or guided mindfulness practices based on what you share.

    • Tip: The more specific you are, the more personalized Kōkua’s response will be.

Adjusting the Interaction

  1. Cancel and Restart:

    • If you want to start over while holding the mic orb, shake it to clear and reset. Then grab it again to speak.

  2. Interrupt:

    • If you need to interrupt or feel that Kōkua misunderstood you, select Kōkua’s light and hold to retrieve the mic orb. This will let you continue or ask something different.

Ending the Session

  • You can end your interaction with Kōkua at any time by saying, “I’m done,” or by using the Home icon to return to the Home menu.

  • If you’d like to continue, select and hold Kōkua’s light to bring back the mic orb and keep talking.
